Description

The proliferation of AI and ICT systems has led and still is leading to significant transformation in certain sectors of society and, in particular, in the professional and industrial world. Language professions and the status of languages ​​are no exception. In this age of AI and everything digital, the place of humans in the language professions remains a lively question. This symposium is an opportunity to combine plural and multidisciplinary views on the place and role of AI and ICT in the context of language professions as well as the challenges raised by this new reality on the human and professional levels. What practices should be adopted for training in language professions? and for learning second and foreign languages? How to maximize the positive impact of AI and everything digital in the field of languages? What about the negative effects? What relationship to language and what cognitive changes are learners and language professionals going through? What is the added value of our interventions, beyond AI and digital?

The organizing committee invites researchers and practitioners from a variety of disciplinary and theoretical backgrounds to share on the place and role of AI, ICTs and humans in the fields of languages and language professions. The submissions are organized according to the following themes:
